During the last 4 months, we have all no doubt been experiencing difficulties, particularly with regards to completing face-to-face assessments or home/school visits. That’s why at Bennett Workplace Solutions we are pleased to announce we are now able to provide these services again albeit undder slightly different circumstances.

We take the COVID-19 restriction guidelines very seriously and have put measures in place to safeguard the children, occupational therapists and any other staff we come into contact with during face-to-face assessments. Each school and NHS trust have different interpretations of the government guidelines, therefore at BWS we will adapt our ways of working to suit your requirements.

During the last 2 weeks we have completed face-to-face assessments within homes, schools and workplace environments. Where possible, social distancing has been observed and assistance from parents or support staff has helped when assisting the end user in and out of the chairs during the assessment. In some instances, occupational therapists have been present in person, however where this was not possible, they have been present via a video link. The main thing is that we will work around you to find the right solution in each case!

If you have ordered additional accessories for your VELA chair, or the chair needs amending to meet the needs of growing users, these adjustments can be completed off site with no need for face to face contact.

Our assessors have vast experience of completing both home and school assessments. Therefore, we can use this knowledge of the school environment to complete assessments at home or at medical centres instead of visiting schools. This way we can complete assessments and ensure chairs are ordered prior to schools reopening in September.
