VELA children’s chairs truly grow with the user, making the ideal seating solution from the early years through into further education. The unique back adjustment allows the seat depth to increase as the child grows and should the user grow out of the existing seat, they can simply replace the seat pad for the next size up - the same applies to backrests. The modular system allows for accessories / supports to be added retrospectively should the need occur.
As an exclusive VELA UK distributor we attend 6/12 monthly chair reviews along with the child / young person’s occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
The reviews are carried out by our assessors and take place where the chair is mostly in use i.e. within the home, school or working environment and usually take around an hour to complete.
The assessor will firstly look at the child / young person in their existing chair and, depending on the individual requirements of the user, the assessor may be able to adjust the chair to ensure a better fit during the review.
Alternatively, where the chair cannot be adjusted during the appointment, the assessor can make recommendations for accessories or adaptations to the chair to ensure the best possible fit and longevity of the chair.
