Workplace needs assessments

Workplace needs assessments

Our team of assessors can provide holistic workplace needs assessments for your employees. During the assessment we will discuss barriers experienced at work and make recommendations for assistive technologies and other strategies to enable your employees to work productively and comfortably and reach their full potential at work.

Assessments are carried out remotely or face-to-face as required. We will gather background information ahead of the assessment and then discuss in further detail during the assessment. We will demonstrate software and equipment and discuss the right adjustments to support your employee at work. A full report will be provided detailing our discussion and the recommendations being made.

Diagnostic assessment for neurodiversity

Diagnostic assessment for neurodiversity

Where a person displays signs and symptoms consistent with Neurodiversity and has not previously received conformation, a diagnostic assessment may be beneficial in determining the appropriate adjustments and further support in the workplace. Our assessors are fully qualified, holding PATOSS memberships and Assessment Practicing Certificates (APCs). All assessments are undertaken under SASC guidelines (SpLD Assessment Standards Committee), the governing body for specialist teachers and assessors. Since the update provided by SASC in 2020, all assessments can now be carried out online in line with the new guidance.

Following the assessment, we will provide a comprehensive written report for the individual, confirming any diagnosis of conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD. The findings may help to provide a clearer picture of the person’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as an analysis of their individual cognitive profile.

Technical assessments

Technical assessments

Where the requirements are more complex, such as for hearing and visual impairment technology, we recommend a technical assessment is carried out in person by one of our experienced team. We will allocate an assessor with the specialist skills and knowledge required, with the aim being to demonstrate the specialist equipment for your employees in situ. Our staff have various vendor accreditations such as being a Phonak approved training provider for Roger® technologies.

Recommendations will be detailed in a full written report along with a quotation for any specialist equipment and further training.

DSE and ergonomic assessments

Assessments include:

  • Bullet point overview of background information leading to referral
  • Adjustments to equipment & workstation
  • Bespoke action plan to target improved musculo-skeletal health
  • In-depth written assessment for your records

Company vehicle drivers

Company vehicle drivers

Vehicle ergonomic assessments are completed by one of our qualified specialists. Our experienced assessors have in-depth knowledge of musculoskeletal issues that are commonly caused by incorrect driving position and poor vehicle ergonomics. Following an on-the-road assessment, a detailed report with recommendations and adjustments will be provided.

Our assessors do not recommend specific vehicles as an assessment outcome, however we will consult with the relevant teams within your organisation to determine how concerns can be best resolved. Should a change of vehicle be necessary, we will recommend an alternative specification.
